Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. The current dining room experience is an 8-course tasting menu honoring the Mid-Atlantic's bounty. We offer an additional 3-course experience at our bar and bar area tables. Walk-in guests are welcome to enjoy the bar area as well.The Dabney has been awarded one Michelin star every year since 2017, James Beard Foundation Best Chef Mid-Atlantic for Chef Jeremiah Langhorne in 2018, and Washingtonian Magazine's #1 restaurant in 2023. Outstanding service. We appreciated the description of all the courses, the ingredients and those not to be overlooked. to be missed. First off, I noticed that the server noted in writing my "deadly" allergy to oysters. The Thanksgiving special tastings was inspired so we now look forward to a "school night" dinner. Oh ! an easy to converse rooms, but maybe someone could fine-tune the play list..... Maybe a task with so many generations, from infants to elders, in the room. DMM

It was a vibe ✨ My girl V deserves the world with hosting my fiancé and I. She was able to match us with some of the best recommendations in the house. Although they do not serve food, they have bomb kettle cooked chips and V will recommend the best Chinese restaurant that deliver. For our drinks we had; keep it peachy, give me butterflies, & others. 10/10 must try spot; tell Veronica the two moms never made it to that club 👀, she’ll know exactly what I’m taking about. Very warm and welcoming service. Excellent food. A lovely and interesting space, with visual and tactile treats. And—in warmer weather—a great space upstairs that is open to the outdoors.
