The Oarsman is a contemporary Bistro and Pub on Spittal Street in Marlow.For lunch and dinner, we serve bistro style, seasonal dishes from the open kitchen and small plates from the charcuterie and larder counter.Seasonal dishes are created by award winning Head Chef Scott Smith. Under Scott's helm The Oarsman is rapidly achieving accolades and recently had won Newcomer of the Year 2023 by Top50Gastropubs by Estrella Damm.We have created an extensive list of fine and rare wines, as well as a wide range of wines by the glass. It might appear a bit bonkers, but that’s half the fun, there are over 300 wines, more than 200 grape varieties from forty plus countries, the quandary is, if we don’t list them, you can’t try them – so let’s be a bit bonkers.All are farmed sustainably, most organically a good deal biodynamically and much with minimal intervention.We have a strong environmental ethos and support local suppliers where possible to serve the finest, seasonal produce.

Owned and managed by husband-and-wife team, Daniel Crump MCA and Margriet Vandezande-Crump, the restaurant was crowned the 24/25 AA Restaurant of the Year (England). Based in a 17th century coaching inn in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town, it has also been voted an OpenTable Diners’ Choice, one of the most romantic restaurants in the UK, and named among the top 100 restaurants in the country by SquareMeal. We are situated at Windsor Racecourse Marina, (next door to Windsor Racecourse), and we have lovely views over the marina and Windsor racecourse. During the summer enjoy alfresco dining on our lower deck and refreshing beverages on the top deck. During the colder months cosy up next to the roaring fire in our Shebeen where we serve our full menu We are dog friendly throughout so you can bring your pet pooch as long as they are well behaved. There's free parking, lovely relaxed seating, a lively Shebeen bar and friendly staff waiting to serve exotic meats, espetadas - (our signature dish which is a skewer of meat or seafood, dripping with marinade over your side dish), sticky ribs and much more. Lovely South African wines, creative cocktails, extensive range of gins and even Don Pedros the South African 'milkshake cocktail'.

Another wonderful visit. Friendly welcome, shown to the table straight away and with drinks orders shortly after. Due to the great weather it was busy outside which added to the staff business but still served in good time. Food was fantastic, the sharing roast platter went down very well. Couldn't recommend this place more!

Loved this place. First time that my husband and I have been. Staff were Amazing. Food absolutely delicious. Can’t praise the staff enough. The service is on par with Limewood and The Ivy. Sommelier listened to my likes and dislikes and she was spot on! We will return very soon. I hope we won”t be disappointed!
