THE WOODSMAN IS A TRULY BRITISH RESTAURANTWe use the best British ingredients, all sourced as sustainably as possible.We love using Wild food, and harvest much of it ourselves. All the meat on our menus is “nose to tail” so the menu is ever changing, and we waste nothing. We even employ our own head ranger to keep the deer herds on the land we manage under control, and have our own deer larder in the Cotswolds where this amazing product is processed.Our fish comes from day boats in Cornwall.We work with the seasons, ensuring the very best truly local veg is with us the day after its picked. Our food is cooked over wood from local plantations, and charcoal coppiced less than 20 miles away.We know the story of everything on the menu.Our lovely staff are extremely well informed, so, do ask questions on anything you’re not sure of.We hope you love this restaurant as much as we do and keep coming back.

The Horse and Groom Inn aims to provide great food and drink in a quintessential, traditional 16th century country inn. Dining is relaxed and informal in a friendly atmosphere. We stock a wide choice of wines by the glass, cask conditioned ales, lagers and ciders. Our guests can enjoy dining in our cosy bar or restaurant areas. We welcome well-behaved dogs on leads. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. We also have a comfortable outdoor terrace and garden area with picturesque babbling brook. We also have a small in-pub coffee shop and delicatessen! Selling the best of local produce, bread, milk and a selection of luxury food and drink items, the shop is open whenever we are. We also provide great coffees to drink in or take away. Our menu focusses on great steaks and seafood (vegetarian/ vegan always available). Note: There are two pubs called the Horse and Groom in the area - we are the Horse and Groom Inn at Upper Oddington.

We are open for our full a la carte restaurant service from Monday to Saturday each week with tables from 18:00 until 20:30. We are closed for dinner on Sunday, but the bar is open. We offer lunches daily and our wonderful Sunday lunch has tables from 12:00 until 16:00. I thought it was going to be an overpriced roast lunch experience as everything is in the UK- But I was very very happy - first we changed our mind few times about where we wanted to eat ( restaurant or bar ) as we have a dog and you can be only in the bar area with the dug so I planned to take him back Home but what happened was great - they reserved us a table by the fire at the bar so it felt really nice! Then the food was great - and I am really demanding - The proportions were good ( the roast was plenty!!) the shared platter was good ( I thought it would be better but it was good enough) - the atmosphere was great, service was perfect and I was not easy!!! I loved everything The price was ok - I thought I would pay that - The roast was really good - the horseradish sauce could be milder if I could say a tiny improvement feedback - Thank you - seriously it couldn’t haven’t been better for the UK ( price/ food/ atmosphere/ service quality)
