The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. From Ales to YPA’s, to Blonde beers we are a small producer using primary English hops brewing exclusively in house for The Hop Vine and our sister pub the Legh Arms.Our countryside sister the Legh Arms is our latest addition to the family and is situated in the pretty hamlet of Mere Brow. Here we serve our trademark delicious home produced quality food and excellent home brewed ales. Your hosts Mike & Julie and their superb team bring a wealth of experience in the trade and have sourced the best in the local area to tempt you.

Found in the middle of the Bold Street, Pho is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant that specialise in pho noodle soup, the national dish of Vietnam. Aside from pho, you can also expect to find amazing sharing starters, healthy salads, hearty rice bowls and decadent curries.     We ordered the pumpkin fritte and rocket salad for appetisers, the spaghetti with parsley, chilli and breadcrumbs, fettuccine with Cornish crab and the tomato and mozzarella pizzetta. We had heard good things and had obviously seen the Instagram hype but even still it exceeded expectations. Everything was 10/10. Best tiramisu I’ve ever had! We will be back.

    Our group met for the Christmas party menu. I had the classic prawn cocktail, traditional turkey dinner followed by creme brulee. Prawn cocktail was very good, fresh lettuce, good bread and a decent portion of prawns and sauce. Turkey dinner good but perhaps would have been better with roast potatoes. Creme brulee came with a fresh berry coulis, superb!

    Fantastic. Took a seat at the bar for a solo night meal as was in town for work. The Christmas burger was sublime and wine, beer and dessert wine! Service was excellent - friendly and chatty when I wanted and when I was cradling my beer and reading my book, they left me alone. Chips were amazing.

    2nd time there and once again food was mega, from how it looks on instagram to how it looks in person is basically the same, tastes amazing, looks amazing, all the food is spot on, can’t ask for anything more to improve, thank you
