In 1688, Joseph Haviland built a tidewater gristmill that provided the locally-grown grains to a nearby bakery that supplied farmers and tradesmen with bread. It was the first public oven in New York State. Haviland’s Old Grist Mill and the public bakery were community gathering places for two centuries. Inspired by Joseph Haviland’s noble efforts, the Haviland Kitchen & Bar has been established for our neighbors. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience here, however we felt the server was somewhat inattentive. One of us had the tuna, which we order frequently when dining out and the preparation somewhat over-powered the tuna flavor. The bar is nice and we enjoy the atmosphere here!

Excellent service and authentic Spanish food. Next to my Tia's Paella, it is more than a presentable 2nd. Food you grow up with is always better :) We've been there before and will be there again. Thank you Sangria 71!

It is our family's annual tradition to go to tavern 18 for Christmas Eve dinner!! We always get our favorite table and the service, food and staff are wonderful. We are grateful for this family tradition.

Our family loves valdari!! It is me and my boyfriends go to date night spot at least once a week. And we bring our entire family for dinner pretty frequently too. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The food is fresh and delicious and the drinks are top notch! The ambiance is classy but laid back and family friendly as well. We are Italian and this is authentic delicious Italian food. We recommend this restaurant to everyone and anyone!
