I treated my husband to an outstanding dinner at the Capital Grill for his birthday last night. The food was of the highest quality and could not have been any better. I had the New England clam chowder and it had lots of clam pieces in it and was delicious. My husband had the filet Oscar and both the filet and the crabmeat were delicious. I had the sliced filet over onions and mushrooms with a fig balsamic essence and I absolutely loved it. Our server, Savannah, was one of the best servers we have ever had and was extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. When we walked into the restaurant they seated us at our table and had a birthday card and lots of little birthday balloon confetti on our table and it made my husband feel very special. After dinner they brought him a surprise dessert with a candle so I could sing to him - and I did not ask them to bring it - they surprised both of us....and it was an amazing dessert - flourless chocolate cake and cheese cake with burnt sugar glazing on it. Newtown is lucky to have such a fabulous restaurant....we can't wait to dine there again!

An odd restaurant. We had a gift card but would have been somewhat upset about the prices otherwise. A bit hit or miss - some items seemed reasonable ($7 for vegetable tempura), others were far too much for the relative ordinariness of the dishes ($32 for a somewhat small and pretty basic beef broccoli rabe dish, $16 dollars for a few small dumplings, albeit with admittedly delicious spare rib filling). The deconstructed cheesecake with rhubarb for dessert was both delicious and reasonable in contrast ($12). Hostess was wonderful. Bit still, too expensive and overall too middle of the road food wise. I am not sure how their model can be sustainable given the fact that they want to be more upscale - there were several empty tables on a beautiful Sat night. Enjoy with caution.

With the knowledge that Gusto Ristorante Italiano had been named the best Italian restaurant in Pennsylvania I was not expecting to go to a restaurant in a small shopping center. But when I and my party of three entered the restaurant itself we met very welcoming staff, great recorded music, and a very cozy and calm environment. I had already seen the menu online and was impressed by it in all the categories, which proved to be an accurate judgement on my part as prepped by my Italian origin. I had never tasted Cacio e Pepe pasta and so I ordered that here. The owner prepared it live at our table in a big cheese wheel and it was delicious. We also ordered smoked mozzarella for one of our appetizers and that too was brought to the table under a smoke machine along with five accompaniments. Again, deliciousness. I had a small taste of everyone else's pasta and main dishes at our table and everything - tomato sauce, fresh fish preparation, bragiole and meatballs and chicken - was, again, delicious. The espressos were also excellently prepared as was the cannolli in parts in a wine glass. Gusto will be a go-to restaurant for us now when we are in Pernnsylvania!

Very good service and great food. Had the chicken satimbocca, so great.
