Uncle Bacala’s specializes in Italian-style seafood and other inventive dishes in its warm and cozy New Hyde Park eatery. For a tantalizing start to your meal, enjoy the mozzarella in carrozza cheese-stuffed fried country bread and the mashed potato and mozzarella croquettes, both served with marinara sauce. Wonderful service; we had crispy Brussel sprouts and Fuji Apples and delicata squash with prosciutto as appetizers. They were prepared and presented beautifully. Excellent burgers, and chicken paillard with little gem Caesar was wonderful as well.

We decided to try Uncle Bacalas because they were running an attractive anniversary special and we are so happy we did! The food was excellent as well as the ambiance, ( beautifully decorated … old school Italian with red checkered tablecloths). Our waiter , “Carmine” was professional and courteous and the Cosmopolitan cocktails were the best we’ve ever had! This will be a favorite spot for dinner from now on. 😊

Quality dining. Sat at the bar. Frank behind the bar is a true pro. Prompt, efficient & friendly. Our drinks & food were on point and served spaciously where we weren't rushed, nor did we wait too long.
