At Babette, the husband and wife team of Joan Ellis and Patrick Hooker, are in the kitchen preparing each plate to ensure that their vision and taste profile are translated to each diner. Everything we ate was delicious. The Beet Salad was well dressed and plentiful for two. The Short Ribs were tender and tasty - great comfort dish! The Lamb Kebabs and Couscous are my “go to favorite”. The Baklava w/Vanilla Ice Cream was “the right way to end a fantastic meal”! Our server was attentive (checked in on us regularly) and efficient. Wonderful dining experience!

For a holiday evening, this was the place to go! Decidedly, a beautiful location, the atmosphere felt very festive, the food, from appetizer through dessert, every plate was wonderfully prepared and presented. Highlights were the butternut squash soup, Wagyu, beef carpaccio, and the scallops. Chef Dommen presented an experience that won’t be forgotten!

We were back to Commis after 8 years and it did not disappoint! Great, state of art food! We will definitely be back again, hopefully sooner!

We had a choice to sit outside or inside - I think either would have been lovely but we chose outside and sat around the fire table - between the fire table, heat lamp and cozy blankets, the temperature was perfect even on a somewhat chilly night and you could not beat the wonderful atmosphere. It was our first time here but will not be the last.
