Following a major refurbishment in early 2019, Chapter One has relaunched with a more modern approach, tempting guests with greater variety and quality.Under the direction of acclaimed chef Andrew McLeish, modern European cooking is available in two formats. In the Restaurant, sophisticated seasonal dishes are served in a refined setting with a weekly changing 3-course Lunch Menu du Jour, a seasonally-inspired 7-course Tasting Menu and an a la carte option. In the more informal Brasserie, a selection of favourites are cooked to perfection with the finest ingredients. Great place to go for special occasions. Very nice decor, great food and great service. It would have been good to have a xmas decoration or plant on the tables as a little plain.

Aqua in Bromley is a great local restaurant. A good choice of menu, and for two of us, the starters gave us enough choice to have two. One as a starter, and one as a main course as both of us have light appetites. Pleasant helpful service. We had a round table which was great for the five of us.

All service staff work so hard to make sure customers are satisfied. We had a glitch on one of the orders but the staff immediately rectified it and offered a free glass of wine to compensate. We really didn’t expect this. Portions are substantial. Good value all round. Front of house staff are to be commended.

Although the management of The Bakery has changed, the table settings and service were still a high standard. There was less choice of menu options, but quality was still a good standard. In conclusion, a relaxing evening with friends.
