Our “finest hour” was most definitely during the Battle of Britain in World War II, when we were commandeered by the RAF to serve as an auxiliary mess for Fighter Command at RAF Kenley. Today we serve a refreshing range of lager, ale & wines and a menu that reflects the great British pub, using fresh ingredients all cooked to order. Popped in with the wife for Sunday roast. Couldn’t fault the food, service an value for money. Will be returning again. Lovely place.

The food and service were excellent - and there was live music. But it was early January and freezing cold so most people chose to stay at home so the place was virtually empty.

Although the management of The Bakery has changed, the table settings and service were still a high standard. There was less choice of menu options, but quality was still a good standard. In conclusion, a relaxing evening with friends.
