Massimo's has been a Fremont destination and landmark since opening in 1976. The name Massimo's is not only the middle name of our late founder but also means “great”. Inspired by the best pizza of New York City and Naples, Italy. In 2005, Annie and Craig Stoll annexed the space next door to their James Beard Award winning Delfina restaurant fulfilling a long time dream of bringing Neapolitan-inspired pizzas to San Francisco. The 600 square foot space was an instant neighborhood hotspot, and Pizzeria Delfina became the ""darling of the San Francisco food scene"" opening a second location in 2008 to popular demand. In 2014, Annie and Craig expanded into the Peninsula with Pizzeria Delfina in Palo Alto. This energetic, farmers-to-table restaurant serves up Neapolitan-inspired pizza complemented by a daily-changing roster of seasonal antipasti, piatti (small entrees), beer, wine and more. A family-owned business, Pizzeria Delfina is a neighborhood establishment through and through that continues to bring people together around fresh, handmade, delicious food in a warm, casual atmosphere.

Excellent food…appetizer (shrimp), scallops and filet mignon were all excellent as well as the tiramisu dessert. Service was excellent as well. I would have no issues recommending this restaurant to friends and family.

Food was delicious! I particularly liked the fact that they allowed you to eat each course at a leisurely pace with the food being the perfect temperature when served. Everyone from the hostess to the waitstaff was extremely professional. A wonderful dining experience!

We enjoyed dinner (4 of us) for my wife's birthday on a Saturday night. Everything was exceptional. Our waiter, Rene, was new and we were very impressed with him. His suggestions on menu items were spot on and he checked on us regularly without being overbearing . We were all very pleased with our dinners (swordfish, miso salmon, chicken piccata, sea bass). The sea bass came with melted butter on a sizzling cast iron dish that kept the fish hot down to the last morsel - delicious. Market Broiler has always been a favorite place but this visit was exceptional. We will return and hope Rene is again our waiter.

We were promptly greeted and seated. Staff were attentive and helpful. Only hiccup was when we scanned the QR code to pay-unsuccessful after three attempts so our server completed the transaction in the customary manner.
