Inspired by Parisian bistros and Brooklyn’s favorite taverns, Little Sparrow picks up the mantle from its beloved predecessor, JCT Kitchen and Bar to serve the Westside in a new incarnation. Tel Aviv beach vibes, upbeat Israeli tunes and fresh scents of falafel and sizzling skewers will welcome you into Rina. Casual, fresh and bright plates, putting a unique spin on traditional Israeli street food and hospitality traditions. Some recipes, including the falafel, have been passed down for generations through Baum’s (our owner!) family and were first served at Rina’s own falafel stand in Israel in the 1950’s. No wonder she chose to name the restaurant after the women who embedded some of the fondest memories of her upbringing. Rina also mean happiness in Hebrew and that is exactly how we intend to make you feel.

The food and beer was excellent. We both had steaks and they were cooked properly and the sides were well-seasoned (great fries!). We had the fried cheesecake for dessert and it was delicious…crunchy, sugary and rich. Service was timely and pleasant. It was a lovely experience.

Service was fantastic and everyone made sure we felt special and enjoyed our dinning experience. Food was fantastic. Certainly not an inexpensive meal but well worth it.

First time at Little Sparrow, and we were blown away by how good it was. Frites are to die for. Dover Sole was perfect. French Onion soup amazing. Abbie was tremendous and was so good at guiding us through the menu and other offerings. Strongly recommend.
