The name “Ichoume” comes from the address of this street. Ichoume is located on ‘1’ Harbour Street, Darling Quarter. That’s why we named the restaurant “Ichoume” (Choume is used for addresses in Japan. It's a way of breaking a municipality into districts. 丁目(Choume) is ‘city district’, so ‘1 choume’(Ichoume) is ‘1st [city] district’).The design concept of the restaurant is a hangout for adults.The menu is supervised by AKIKO ISHIKAWA, who has accumulated her career in many restaurants.     I don't usually post reviews for anything but I thought I absolutely had to write a review for this! My partner and I love korean/japanese bbq and we tried a variety of different buffets in Adelaide and Melbourne but this has become our top pick. Their variety of sushi, quality meats, yukhoe and tataki were favourites all for their premium option at $64 per person. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. Will come again once we visit Sydney for another trip.

    Everything was great! The staff are nice and welcoming, the food was delicious and the staff brought each dish out with great timing. It was Friday night, they had live jazz music and it set the mood nicely!

    Amazing place!! From the minute you arrive, your waiter/waitress service and meals are absolutely outstanding. Loved the stylish decor and hearing/ watching the coffee beans above. Nice to walk around the buildings and absorb it’s history. A definite must to visit!!
