We had a great time and food was excellent. We did not enjoy the “high top” table though and they could not change that. Overall for a very busy Valentines night ( and it was my husband’s birthday) it was very good!

Valentine's tasting menu was fantastic! The ocheshishak (rice) with duck hearts and livers is amazing and made in an incredibly savoury broth. We added the PEI oysters with strawberry mignonette which were fresh and silky smooth. The pipon (winter) salad is awesome and the grilled salmon with beet puree was perfectly prepared! The staff and owners were attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable about the perfect wine pairing for each course. The artwork and ambiance makes a perfect environment to enjoy Indigenous inspired dishes that are sourced primarily locally, but definitely nationally. Indigenous food is the original and best sustainable, nutritional, and tariff free sustenance for body and soul. Bernadette's is best!

We arrived late on a Thursday evening and it was pretty quiet - perfect for good conversation without having to yell across the table. Sanjay took excellent care of us, recommended delicious oysters, and provided a great, entraining atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

I ordered the steak sandwich again. The steak was seasoned perfectly. The steak was cooked beautifully. The chef is amazing. The staff is also very attentive. Definitely recommend.
