The Duke of Wellington Inn is nestled in the tranquil Tyne valley village of Newton just off the A69 near Corbridge, within easy access to Newcastle, Hadrian"s Wall Country, Hexham and Northumberland's National Park. We came here as our first food pit stop on our short break to Northumberland. The portion sizes were perfect for lunch. The staff were really attentive and the food was really good. It is pricey but we didn’t begrudge paying.

We had a lovely time. We have been a couple of times over the last few years, and it is always nice to go back. The portions aren't massive, which we both appreciate. Quality over quantity.
