Another excellent visit to the Red Lion, the food and service was to a very high standard as always. The service was to a high standard and the food was outstanding. The orange bread and butter pudding was to die for. Please put it on your excellent menu more often. .

It's a lovely gastropub, great service, food delicious. I know it sounds a bit petty, but I look forward to having special bread and butter as a treat when I go out for a special dinner and the bread was average and the butter was hard and not very much. Just a small thing. But when you pay £200 for 2 people, it's the little things that count.

The food on the Carvery was outstanding. Complements to the Chef and his team. All the front of house staff were also very helpful. This is good value for money.

We really enjoyed the exceptional food and hospitality. Especially the extra care and attention for food allergies.

Enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon at The Holt, afternoon tea was lovely, nice atmosphere and decorated with Christmas tress and a lovely fire. Nice to have warm scones as some places do not do this, and nice sandwiches and cakes. We needed to do a last minute change with the sandwich's from their menu, and the were very obliging to do so.
