The Durham Ox is a family owned traditional village Inn offering friendly and efficient service; showcasing the best of local produce in our menu, as well as stocking an extensive range of wines and cask ales. An award winning traditional pub complete with flag stone floors, exposed beams, oak panelling and roaring fires in winter.     We ordered French onion soup, pork cheek to start which was delicious. Me and my partner both had the fillet steak with truffle and Parmesan fries, onion rings and mac n cheese everything was 10/10 no faults. Steak cooked perfectly. For desert I had the baked Alaska and my partner had sticky toffee pudding both were fantastic! Jonathan our server was amazing too!

    I've had this place on my to go eat list for years ! We had a fantastic Sunday lunch ! Very tasty outstanding food . I will be back to an evening meal at some point soon ! I highly recommend the Durham Ox .

    What a lovely venue, food and staff. Everything seemed just right for a “date-night,” great ambience that gave us a feeling of privacy, yet not isolated, an engaged and pleasant waiter that didn’t overdo any interactions, food that was expertly prepared but that didn’t get in the way of conversation. A nigh-on perfect evening.

    Another great visit, the restaurant was busy but the atmosphere was great. Pancakes were gorgeous and the service was perfect. The menu is so varied so something to please everyone!

    This was a belated Christmas treat with friends and we had a lovely time. We thought the view from the table was outstanding and the food was plentiful and tasty.
