Amsterdam's De Compagnon is a contemporary restaurant that strives to serve its diners the freshest continental cuisine crafted with organic ingredients when possible, in its charming and relaxing eatery. The smoked salmon with chickpea puree and crème fraiche and the slow-braised pork belly with veal sweetbread and sweet ice wine vinaigrette make sumptuous starters. Some of De Compagnon's specialty entrées include the roasted beef rib with puffed garlic sauce and jus, the lemon sole fried on the bone with caviar, potatoes and Noilly Prat sauce and the deer filet with jus and celery root, all of which are beautifully presented.

The typical Dutch cosiness means in countries around the Mediterranean 'together'. Taking time for each other around a table full of small dishes and enjoy a glass of wine. Each ordered an average of 3 or 4 dishes per person and then everything on the table is shared socialising.
Our chef roams the market looking for seasonal products and likes to combine local produce with Mediterranean spices. In Jottum is preferably cooked with organic, fair trade, and fresh produce.
Amsterdam's De Compagnon is a contemporary restaurant that strives to serve its diners the freshest continental cuisine crafted with organic ingredients when possible, in its charming and relaxing eatery. The smoked salmon with chickpea puree and crème fraiche and the slow-braised pork belly with veal sweetbread and sweet ice wine vinaigrette make sumptuous starters. Some of De Compagnon's specialty entrées include the roasted beef rib with puffed garlic sauce and jus, the lemon sole fried on the bone with caviar, potatoes and Noilly Prat sauce and the deer filet with jus and celery root, all of which are beautifully presented.

This place is Amsterdam at it’s best! Cozy tapas place lost on a quiet street in a bustling city. Warm welcome, amazing tasty and interesting Tapas. Wonderful dinner and experience.
