Once known to the locals as “The Old Orchard House”, we really are a hidden gem on Cricketers Lane in Warfield, just a short drive from Ascot Racecourse, Legoland and Bracknell. We are family friendly and also happy to welcome dogs into our bar and garden areas as we always have a jar of dog treats in the porch. Surprised to find we were the only diners when we arrived on Christmas Eve for lunch, and only one other table occupied in the time we were there. The service was exemplary although there was no reason for it not to be with so few diners. Did wonder if senior kitchen staff had been given a day off as one hot starter was virtually cold and my parsnips were so undercooked I couldn’t even cut them with a knife and fork, although they were replaced some time later. It was a shame as the setting is lovely and it should have been a better experience.

Firstly, the food was delicious. The chef takes great care with the presentation, as well as the taste, and it felt a very special meal. The service was professional and there when needed. We really enjoyed it, and we'll return.

This is a lovely place, We had a delicious lunch in extremely attractive, pleasant and comfortable surroundings. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Pleasant surroundings and ambience. Big group of sweary rugby types just inside the door slightly off putting but further in its a pleasant family pub. Decent selection and the roast beef was spot on and we didn’t have to wait too long. Less than £90 for family of four including tip, very good value these days.
