Sète (named after the coastal town in France) is a wine bar, shop, and kitchen. Our doors opened to the wine bar in October 2022 and the restaurant and garden in July 2023. The seasonal menu focuses on modern European cooking with a heavy French influence, highlighting the best produce Kent has to offer. Wine is certainly at the heart of what we love. The Captain Digby, a family friendly restaurant and bar which caters for all ages & occasions, with sea views overlooking Kingsgate Bay. We serve generously portioned fresh, home cooked food from our bar, restaurant & children's menu. Food is served from 12 noon each day, all day until late check our operating hours before arrival.Choose from our family dining area, close to our indoor play area or our cliff top restaurant with sea views. Alfresco dining is available with 40 benches overlooking the bay but these are non-reservable and work on a first come first served basis. Please note we can not guarantee window tables. We do not allow dogs inside our venue but they are welcome in our outside dining areas. Being so close to the shoreline we tend to have issues regarding internet connections and advise all customers also bring cash as an alternative payment.
