Dukes 92 was originally a stable block for the horses delivering foods off barges to the Merchants warehouse opposite. From these humble begininngs the building now houses Manchester's original bar and grill which has been refurbished and extended three times since its opening in 1991 the space today is informal and airy with the buildings heritage being reflected in a subtle blend of antique furniture and modern fixed seating.With its most recent refurbishment Dukes can now properly call itself a venue with two bars, three private events spaces, a grill restaurant, excellent smoking facilities, canalside terrace and balcony overlooking the canal basin. It’s not the first time Iv been to Alburt’s in didsbury I think now Iv been there about 36 times or more I would not go anywhere else the food & the staff are amazing & so friendly . Me & my wife to be will be going to Alburt’s in didsbury on Valentine’s Day day we booked in when we were there so I’d like to say a big big thank you for your lovely food & service from Trevor & Lorraine .

It was Christmas Eve and our son’s 18th birthday so there was a range of ages - 12 to 54. It was a great atmosphere and the service was excellent. There was something on the menu to suit everyone. I’d definitely go again. Loved it.

We sat in the heated outdoor space, staff as attentive as they would be in doors, food excellent - the best tapas place we have visited in a long time. Definitely worth a visit and we will be back again :)
