The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. Today, the Grain House is a renowned restaurant in North/Central New Jersey, with a comfortable, casual ambiance. In from out of town and went for Christmas Eve dinner. Restaurant was exactly what I was hoping it would be, small family place with great service, friendly staff and delicious homemade Italian dishes. 10/10 will definitely make a point to come back next time I’m in the area.

Our go to fav ! Redstone Burger is delicious! My friend had the battered fried chicken sandwich very generous portions. Cocktail was seasonal and delicious not too sweet just right… Capped the meal with yummy lattes! Shout out to Kevin our waiter and for the wonderful chefs who kept me gluten free safe. Appreciate you guys! Happy holidays!!

The food was good. We had a party of 4. In all we had 5 meals. We wanted to have the homemade gnocchi to share as an appetizer, but they ended up not having it. We ended up sharing the lobster ravioli, which was good. For our entrees we had the seafood risotto, which was excellent, the cod special (which was good but very small piece of fish), chicken dish and the yellowfin tuna special (was just ok). Overall, we had a nice time and will go back if in the area
