Set in the impressive former 1930s Hitchin ballroom, on the first floor, Hermitage Rd restaurant & Bar boasts a seasonal, award winning and sustainable premium food offer, from the awarding winning ACI team and a bar renowned for it's bespoke cocktails, quality wine and beer range. Set in 22 acres of stunning parkland Paris House is located on the Duke of Bedford's Estate in Woburn. Paris House blends modern culinary techniques with traditional foods to create a 6 course tasting menu. Paris House was originally built in 1878 in Paris. At the end of the 19th Century the timber framed building was dismantled and shipped piece by piece to its current home in the stunning grounds of Woburn Park. In January 2014 Paris House was bought by the businesses’ award winning Executive Chef Phil Fanning. The restaurant is managed as a family business by Fanning and his wife Claire.The restaurant’s tasting menus are based around dishes constructed with natural flavour combinations using the best seasonal produce available. Each menu has been carefully created to showcase the ingredients and provide you with a memorable dining experience.

    Went to the Kite for Sunday lunch. We both went for the roast (1 x beef, 1 x mushroom wellington). Both were excellent. Beef was succulent and juicy, the pastry on the wellington just right. The accompanying cauliflower cheese was a centrepiece in its own right. Only small quibble was that the service was a little slow, but when mentioned was immediately put right. Would definitely recommend.

    We love Paris House! We have been dining there for special occasions, and occasionally just as a treat, for years and have never been disappointed. From the moment you enter the deer park, the welcome when you walk through the door, the friendly and efficient service and the everchanging and inventive menu, it is a series of delights. They have even introduced a non-alcoholic wine pairing which is wonderful for non drinkers. It's certainly not cheap but if you want something special, then it's worth it. Just been there for my wife's birthday and we have our next visit pencilled in the diary.
