Here, Jean‑Georges cultivates a truly seasonal, farm-to-table cuisine, with ingredients sourced from the Hudson Valley and New England, whenever possible. Constructed in 1833 as a residence and serving later as an inn, the building has been painstakingly renovated to preserve as many of the original materials as possible, including four working fireplaces. Thomas Juul-Hansen designed the restaurant’s interior with a modern yet rustic sensibility; zinc and marble accent stone and reclaimed wood. The restaurant’s lighting, artfully conceived by Hervé Descottes, employs paper shades and Edison fixtures to create warmth throughout.

The restaurant has a decent wooden décor, constructed with 300-years old barn wood from Brook Field's farm. Market Place Kitchen and Bar has a full-service banquet with modern business facilities for corporate events and meetings. Alex Lowe, the executive chef, has prepared a healthy menu for guests in Market Place Kitchen and Bar. Surf and turf is the specialty meal here. It is prepared with pork belly meat braised in duck fat for four hours. It is served with apple marmalade, caramelized scallops and house made kale chips. If you’re seeking great food, great service and an energetic atmosphere Gabriele’s is the place to be! I had the veal chop with broccoli rabe and my wife had the bone on filet mignon with some mushrooms. Just sorry we didn’t take any pics. Delicious both visually and in taste. Can’t wait to go next time!!
