We've since added restaurants in Circular Quay, Westfield Sydney, Neutral Bay, Chatswood and Galeries Victoria, and in 2015 we added organic, fresh produce from our farm in Byron Bay. Rengaya has been serving YAKINIKU in North Sydney since 1993, making it one of Australia’s pioneering Japanese barbeque restaurants. Now, that tradition is set to continue at its new digs on Miller Street – just a short stroll from the original location – in a much more modern, striking setting. The new fit-out features bar-counter seats around an open kitchen, red booth seating divided by Japanese-style timber panelling and a hard-to-miss chandelier. Really nice place with a great atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly. We were a party of two and found the table a bit small and cluttered. We had the topside and brisket with veges. The meat was nicely cooked and well presented. We'll be back.

Best green papaya salad I have ever had. Great Mango cocktail. Pad Thai version beautiful presentation and tasty-just needed more heat!

Matkim offers an exceptional dining experience. It's very clear that the team love what they do and are passionate about creating dishes which are innovative and full of flavour. The food and service are high quality and no detail is left to chance. The recent one hat award is well deserved and is sure to be followed by more in the future. I booked all eight seats for a special occasion and everyone in my party would highly recommend Matkim.
