Exciting times here at The Dovecote, we are having a refurbishment!This affects reservations made between 17th Feb and 7th March, Opening hours will remain the same, however we will be moving the restaurant into our Granary Loft function suite while we carry out the works. True Indian lovers in Nottingham will already be familiar with this acclaimed restaurant on Maid Marian Way. A modern space with bucket-loads of style and a menu that had the restaurant named 'Runner Up Best Restaurant' by The Observer Food Monthly Awards. This ornate, luxe dining room is dressed with maroon coloured feature walls, Indian craftwork and leather sofas. The wine list is mostly Euro with a few antipodean bottles thrown in for good measure, and signature dishes at MemSaab include the tandoori ostrich infused with garlic and red chilli; and the rasmalai dessert - Indian milk patties in a saffron sauce garnished with edible rose petals.

We enjoyed our visit,but it was a very cold day outside and as we were sat opposite the entrance we felt cold after a while,we thoroughly enjoyed the food but the chorizo and hash browns were difficult to get out of a high sided bowl with a knife and fork. Service was attentive and relaxed. We will definitely return here again

From walking in to leaving the whole afternoon was beautiful. We’ve been meaning to come here for a few years after hearing many good things and we weren’t disappointed, the staff were so friendly and attentive, and the quality of the food was stunning. I think we’ll be coming here for our special occasions more often!

We had a family meal to celebrate a birthday. The staff were polite and extremely efficient. The ambiance in the restaurant was lively and family oriented. The food, as always was absolutely delicious and plentiful. We had a truly, lovely evening. Thank you :-)
