Chef and co-owner Mario Di Chiara has over 20 years experience in the most famous Italian restaurant in Venice and NYC with 10 years work experience in Cipriani’s restaurant. Join us at Aunt Jake's Upper East Side for our Pasta Making Class & 3-course pasta menu! The cost is $60 per person for pasta instruction and the prefix meal. We require a $10 per person non-refundable deposit. The entire experience is approximately 2.5 hours. However, we wanted to create Italian food for the “next” generation. With that in mind, Aunt Jake’s core mission is to bring high-quality fresh ingredients daily to craft our handmade pasta and sauces health-consciously. Toku’s cuisine is predominantly Japanese with influences from China, Korea, and South East Asia. Ingredients and cooking techniques throughout the world create the Modern Asian menu. Owners Gillis and George Poll have dined all over the world, and have come across a variety of dishes that have really impressed them, “the best of the best.” According to Gillis, “We put together our favorites and added our own unique twists to them.” George emphasizes the menu’s ease and variety. “It’s a straightforward, casually written menu which allows you to dine any way that you’d like.” Guests may enjoy traditional meals with an appetizer, entree and dessert, or dine exclusively on sushi.     Our Server, Marie, was very friendly, attentive and excellent overall! The food was exceptionally delicious and abundant! For just being the two of us, we had to take four to-go dishes of scrumptious vegetables home and then the dessert as well because the chocolate layer cake was that much! Highly recommended for an outstanding dinner! Kudos to all the staff and especially the Chefs!

    Love this place! It’s easy to see why they were packed with customers last night. Fresh and high quality food, great and attentive service, super delicious meals, and a dessert called the napoleon that is unreal. This place is a gem. Can’t wait to come back in a few weeks.

    Neighborhood restaurant that the wife & I have never tried. Decided to visit on Valentines day, bit busy but owner kept everything flowing. Reservation was for 8pm, seated at 8:03pm. Ordered grilled octopus, giant lima beans,Fried Calamari,stuffed mushrooms as appetizers. For dinner had Sea Kebab,Wife had blood orange salmon with mash and asparagus. Overall Dinner was a 8.9. Standout was grilled octopus and stuffed mushrooms for me. Wife loved Salmon. Will be going back to try a few more dishes.

    A neighborhood gem to celebrate Birthdays. You can’t go wrong with menu choices. Great for couples, family and groups. Street parking is a challenge though.
