Good Grace also has a large courtyard/beer garden and function space for up to 100 guests at the rear of the restaurant. With a more casual vibe, the space can be hired our for groups of 30-100 people, as well as having diners visit Wednesday to Sunday evenings, with different events happening throughout the year. I took my elderly parents to Vela for a family celebration on a Monday night. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant was clean and beautifully fitted out. We ordered several dishes to share and were very pleased with all of them. Our waiter was helpful, answering our questions and repeating our order back to us to make sure it was correct.

The staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating, going above and beyond by providing extra chairs for unexpected guests at our table. The food and drinks were both delicious. The recent renovations have certainly enhanced the space, making it even more stunning. However, it seems that acoustics weren't a major consideration, as the room was very loud.

Had a great Sunday afternoon lunch with my friends at the Ship Inn today. I booked for 10 people but unexpectedly 14 showed up and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and accomodating. The food was great too so we will be back again soon!
