Fairly posh but down to earth pub in the nicest possible way. Brilliantly run, great decor and ambience, lovely food and a reasonable price. As good as it gets.

Sunday lunch. Roast Beef amazing, amazing wines too. Excellent service with great ambiance. Great afternoon and great Sunday lunch.

We had a wonderful meal for my father’s 85th birthday. He throughly enjoyed his lunch plus the special extra touches that made his day special. One of the highlights was the ‘scone’ with Jam and cream. My parents - both Cornish (born there and now live there!) raised some debate and laughter! Staff are attentive and the food was delicious.

Best meals to date. Efficient friendly service. Very accommodating to 3 disabled people in our party. Nothing too much trouble. Thank you for an enjoyable and delicious lunch
