L. Woods is such a great place!! I go there quite often, and I try to get something different each time. I can honestly say that everything that I have ever ordered is really, really good!! Tonight I had fried fish--Walleye, to be exact, and it was incredibly tasty! I often get the Mahogany Chicken, because that is my favorite, but I do try to mix it up. Not only is the food excellent, but everyone is very friendly and accommodating if you have a special request. I travel from downtown Chicago to the suburbs because this restaurant is so wonderful! Also, I ordered some side dishes and desserts for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, and they could not have been better. It is just a simple down home darling place to get a great meal--the bar is always totally hopping, as well as every table being filled. So make sure to make a reservation or you may be disappointed! I cannot say enough great things about L. Woods--just a great meal at a very reasonable price!! Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises has done it again!

We had a wonderful holiday dinner. The staff made us feel so welcome. The cocktails, wine and dinner were all outstanding. The steak frites are a family favorite! Probably my favorite restaurant on the Northshore!

A delightful evening with an interesting menu and very good service. It was very quiet with only one other table of diners, but everything we ordered was available and excellent. Modest wine list .

Outstanding ambiance, food & service, as always at this consistently excellent venue. This has become a Holiday tradition for our family.
