Izakaya Den is Denver’s popular Japanese gastropub, modeled after the lively after hours establishments found throughout Japan. The restaurant is located on South Pearl Street and is the second restaurant of the Kizaki brothers, founders and owners of Sushi Den. The menu is arranged in a tapas style, serving traditional Japanese small plates along with dishes infused with international flavors and textures. This was great Indian quisine! Could use some decorations and table adjustments to make it feel more private and upscale. But the food is already upscale with a nice option to dial in your preferred level of spice. A 3 for me was nice and solidly spicy. Great sides too. Naan and mint were both great. And let my dining companion opt for no heat. Definitely recommend.

Visited on a Wednesday evening this time and the experience was better than the last time. Had the NY Strip and Maine Lobster Tail. It took a little longer than expected for dinner to arrive, but everything was cooked properly, including my "rare" steak. The service was average for Red Lobster. The staff tends to hover until you place your order and vanish when it is time for dessert or the check, still, the service was good overall.
