Blackfriars is located in a 13th century medieval friary where it once served as the refectory for the Dominican friars, making it one of the oldest purpose-built dining rooms in the UK.The restaurant serves a classic, gutsy British menu sourcing seasonal produce from local farms and markets accompanied by a large award-winning wine list. I hate it when restaurants put a discretionary service charge on. I pay it but would tip anyway if the food and service are value for money.And a further point is the Employer should be paying decent salaries without staff having to rely on tips for their living.

We have had Sunday lunch here on many occasions and it has always been excellent, this time we opted for an evening meal and weren’t dissapointed. A nice table, pleasant staff and an excellent meal for both of us. Will certainly be back!!

The Mad House is one of the most unique bars I’ve ever been to. The layout and design of the bar is so cool. It’s quite chill vibes and the staff are so lovely and attentive. Drinks are amazing and so much choice! Would definitely go back.
