The Michelin Starred, Fordwich Arms, located in the smallest town in England, dates as far back as 1828. Daniel and Natasha Smith took over The Fordwich Arms in 2017 and were awarded a Michelin Star within the first year, as well as being in the top 100 gastro pubs in the UK, multiple culinary awards, notable wine awards and various other accredits, a testament to their hair work and talent. The seasonal menus focus on provenance, showcasing the best of local Kentish ingredients, sourced directly from local farms and producers. Absolutely exceptional! Chilled cosy atmosphere, very well trained staff with fantastic knowledge of their drink and food menu - very friendly! Food was phenomenal!!!! Flavour, freshness - cooked to perfection! And yes you will want extra sourdough bread to mop up any sauce left! Cannot wait to come back again soon! Very good value for money too!

Overall the firepit is a lovely place to have a decent meal out,the food was out of this world, you definitely pay for what you get, the staff were so welcoming and helpful with explaining the menu and nothing was an issue! I would say it’s probably not a venue you would want to take children. Would definitely recommend to family and friends and will certainly be returning again.

Loved the food, our American family member thought all the BBQ tasted very authentic! We particularly liked the pork belly starter, and the King Sharer with a taste of everything really was amazing.
