Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old brothel, we take the best meat in the country from the award winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. Another enjoyable evening with friends at one of our favourite hostelries! Unlike so many pub restaurants, this is spacious and not too noisy, and the staff are always welcoming and friendly.

Excellent pub, staff, food, choice of drinks and decor were all spot on, great value too and everything was just what was needed for pre-game food& drinks. I’d come again!

We had a lovely experience at The Manor for Afternoon Tea. The food was delicious and you could change the sandwiches you did not want for more of others you did want. Nothing was too much trouble. The scones and cakes were yummy and we got a box to take away anything we could not finish. The atmosphere was so nice as all the Christmas decorations were up. Eleanor serving us was so helpful and made the experience even better. Thank you.

It was our 2nd visit to the Script as we enjoyed the first one on Fathers Day very much. Unfortunately we weren’t as happy this time. The lamb in the roast was like a doorstop and the cauliflower cheese was a bit watery and the roast potatoes were a bit underdone. The club sandwich was extremely bad. Not really sure how you can make a club sandwich bad?? A lot of bread and not much inside. The chicken and bacon were very overdone and inedible. All we were offered was a complimentary coffee!
