Unexpected! no offence to the foodies in Belgrave, but a beautiful little restaurant that serves all the classics with an extensive wine list, is normally something us Hill Dwellers have to go city side for. Tucked away next to a little cinema on the main street is a very cozy and welcoming establishment, I was recommended this place by my Daughter, and took my wife there for her birthday, What immediately impressed me, was the relaxed atmosphere and the ease at which we found ourselves, the wait staff were genuine and very helpful, giving great advice about what Cocktail would suit us before our meal. I went for a Old fashioned which was very nicely balanced, and had the oysters and the steak, accompanied by a lovely glass of Red, followed by a Basque Cheesecake. The oysters were very tasty, although I prefer mine a little less flavored, the Steak was beautifully cooked at the right temperature and served pre cut. The Cheesecake was a lovely surprise, even at the priciest resteraunts, they can come out a little dry, but the texture and flavor was superb. Yes I rather made a pig of myself and may need to rethink my wardrobe or actually stick to that training plan I promised at New Year, but suffice to say, you wont go hungry. It is not a cheap night, but the price is fair and commensurate with the quality of food and service. We will be back

I had the pleasure of visiting Stamford Park Homestead for the fourth time and I can't speak highly enough of the experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and eager to ensure that everything went smoothly for our group. They went above and beyond in answering all our questions and made every effort to make our interstate and international guests feel welcome. It was a must to ensure that I brought both interstate and international guests there. The food was simply outstanding. Not only was it delicious, but they were also very attentive to individual dietary needs, ensuring that everyone had options that suited them. Whether it was for those with specific food requirements or simply personal preferences, they made sure no one felt left out. The setting is absolutely stunning. The homestead is surrounded by beautiful, lush grounds that offer a peaceful and picturesque backdrop for any occasion. It's the perfect place for a relaxed yet memorable gathering. Overall, the level of service, the quality of food, and the breathtaking surroundings make Stamford Park Homestead a top choice for anyone seeking an exceptional experience. I highly recommend it!

I love the Acorn , whenever I enter it's like a big hug , the food, service , staff and familiar patrons are all so homey, friendly and a safe place.. Awesome bands too. Maybe one negative, keep the coffee machine on a bit longer many times unable to get a coffee and still early.
