James Beard Award-winning Chef Andrew Black makes his way back to Skirvin Hotel to open his newest restaurant concept, Perle Mesta. The restaurant will be his first concept to open since winning a James Beard award as 2023’s Best Chef Southwest and will be located on the first floor of the historic Skirvin Hotel (One Park Avenue, Oklahoma City). Perle Mesta will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner service and the cuisine will reflect Chef Black’s continued exploration of what he calls “possibility cuisine,” a concept he attributes to his style of cooking that explores and embraces the endless possibilities of ingredients, flavors, techniques, and cultural influences. Great atmosphere and the best beef fajitas I’ve had in many years. One of the only places to get real Tex-mex queso in Oklahoma. Finally a Mexican restaurant worthy of date night or meeting friends out for a nice dinner in OKC.

This is our new favorite restaurant! We had an absolutely lovely Christmas Eve dinner and everything is perfect. I highly recommend the lobster and shrimp risotto and my husband really enjoyed the Rhode Island Fisherman’s stew. The crab cake appetizer is by far the best in Oklahoma (our daughter lives just a little north of Baltimore and it gives our favorite place from there a run for its money! ) Go - you will love it.

We keep coming back because the food and cocktails are delicious and consistently good. The service was attentive and accommodating. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing.

Hidden gem in Okc. Service was excellent. The French toast with the maple milk shake was an all star to finish our perfect meal.
