Nestled in downtown Los Gatos, Polenteria serves up Italian cuisine, that is Celiac safe. We are a small 22 seat restaurant, that is very intimate. With a European feel, many of our guests proclaim that they have been whisked away to Italy or France. We love that! Many accolades from the SF Chronicle, and the Mercury News as well as Eater SF hail Chef Yvonne and her team at Polenteria for being on the cutting edge of the Gluten Free Movement, and more importantly providing a safe space for those with Celiac to dine without hesitation. What a lovely experience. The restaurant is small, intimate, and the chefs and owners do their best to personalize the experience and interact with each diner. You can tell they are passionate about what they do. The food was excellent, of course, but I enjoyed the atmosphere just as much!

Love the appetizers here! Sooooo delicious! Makes a great light, yet delicious meal. Crab croquettes are so rich and super tasty. Also loved the empanadas and gambas ajillo. Presentation is always quite unique and beautiful.

We have been here several times. My husband has Celiac and it's so wonderful to come to a restaurant that has no gluten so he doesn't have to worry about any cross-contamination. The food is spectacular and you would never know the bread is gluten free. The service is very attentive and the price is reasonable for type of food and service you receive. The restaurant is very small but you feel like if you are in a cozy dining room and in spite of the close proximity to other diners, it still feels very intimate.
