Grotta di Fuoco, which translates to Fire Cave, is an industrial, rustic space with subtle lighting, raw steel, reclaimed wood, and concrete finishes. Step inside, descend below street level, and enter our vision of a cave. As for the fire, our focal point is a wood burning oven right next to the bar. You can sit close enough to feel the warmth, hear the crackle, and smell the scent of food being cooked, all while being entranced by the open flame. While Long Beach is rocking during the summer with the beach, Boardwalk, events, and outdoor dining, winter is when Grotta heats up. In 1688, Joseph Haviland built a tidewater gristmill that provided the locally-grown grains to a nearby bakery that supplied farmers and tradesmen with bread. It was the first public oven in New York State. Haviland’s Old Grist Mill and the public bakery were community gathering places for two centuries. Inspired by Joseph Haviland’s noble efforts, the Haviland Kitchen & Bar has been established for our neighbors. Fantastic dinner. Food is always top notch. The dry age strip was perfect. The scallops were beautifully presented. The service however is why we will always come here. From the hostess, Kayla, who made sure to stop by our table and welcome us back even though she was busy with other people to the server and busser Nick and Douglas who are so attentive. Can’t wait to come back.

There is a great selection of cocktails and small plates, don’t skip the crispy tuna. The cocktails are well balanced with excellent flavor. The staff was friendly and very attentive. I’ve been for both brunch and happy hour and i’d recommend this for a date night or even just drinks with friends.

I had a wonderful time. Live music. Great service. Food was fantastic. Make sure you get the green sauce and their chicken so delicious. The drinks were strong and good. I had the special sour. Inwould go again.

Excellent food always consistently delicious from appetizers to desserts. Service and ambiance are very good. Cozy with a neighborhood feel. Enjoy coming and will return. Highly recommend.
