Dinner at Black Cat Farmstead is a unique dining experience. Enjoy private garden cabanas with wood stoves, gorgeous views and a 4-Course chef tasting menu (dietary restrictions accomodated) created by James Beard nominated chef Eric Skokan at our historic farmstead. Our 500-acre full-scale diversified organic farm supplies the majority of ingredients for your meal; from vegetables & herbs to the pork & lamb to the grains. The farmstead offers 7 intimate private tables per evening. Reservations are required and limited. $145/per person++ Reservations are released weekly on Mondays at noon for the following 3 weeks. A real delight in all respects! Acoustics are well-controlled so one can hear both music and conversation. I had the truffle starter with egg yolk in Parmesan, really excellent and not too heavy. Focaccia was a great way to scoop up the egg. Venison medallions for the main were also terrific. The Sommelier recommended wine was good but despite being 2012 to a while to open up. Decanting helped. Didn’t stay for dessert due to leftovers of same at home.
