As usual, a lovely experience. Our waiter, Thibault, was charming and the sommelier also very helpful. The duck fat potatoes are incredible. The only improvements would be a couple more vegetarian based options. I had steak which was lovely but I do prefer vegetable based dishes. The side dishes are wonderful, plus the apple tart. The wines by the glass haven’t altered in a year so I think they could offer a couple of new wines by the glass which would be appreciated by the patrons.

Possibly the best food in Tassie! Yes it’s a wee bit pricey but what a glorious, beautiful looking array of dishes to delight the senses!!! Allow $100+ per head to get a good selection and a memorable visit.

The service was excellent, nothing was an effort for the friendly welcoming staff. Our baby was well cared for as were all adults in our party of 7. The steak was excellent as were the calamari & soup.

We love meeting regularly at Birdsong because it is quiet with large tables and we can linger as long as we like.
