If you’ve read anything about Stage at all before this, nothing I can say will come as a surprise. Stage comes across as a total labour of love for the guys running the show. They’re doing what drives them and what they clearly thoroughly enjoy. In the kitchen and front of house. I have no idea where it would be possible to experience the same levels of culinary ingenuity and sheer enjoyment at such good value for money. So it’s not over the top to use the word unique to describe what just happened. That wasn’t simply an excellent meal, we were actually blown away by the entire show.
