The Cat Inn is a 16th century free house set in the picturesque village of West Hoathly, a hilltop village set in the heart of the Sussex countryside. It is in within easy distance from the towns of East Grinstead and Haywards Heath and only 25 minutes from Gatwick Airport. The Pub with its oak beams and two inglenook fireplaces proffers a warm and cosy atmosphere in the winter, whilst our terrace is perfect to enjoy a drink and food in the summer months. Being a free house we pride ourselves in the quality of our real ale, and concentrate on local breweries, such as Harvey's of Lewes and other micro breweries. Our food is cooked to order, using fresh, seasonal and where possible locally sourced ingredients. Fabulous food, as always. Absolutely love this restaurant, staff are always very attentive and allow us to take our time to enjoy our delicious lunch. Very relaxed atmosphere, would thoroughly recommend.

There are other restaurants within reasonable distance from our home offering similar menus but none offer such consistent perfection in their food and wine.From delicious canapés through well thought out courses ending with desserts to die for,washed down with a superb Viognier our evening was a delight. And the clincher- all priced sensibly enough to lure us back.

Valentines night for my wife and I, Wife is also Gluten Intolerant and they had NGGI for all ingredients not gluten, my wife had the Melt NGGI burger and I had the hot dog both came with skinny fries. My wife had the rhubarb and ginger gin and the GF chocolate torte. The food was excellent and service was brilliant, mein host Alan who looked after us superbly. We had an incredibly lovely evening and meal, thanks Alan.
