Continuing past the pawnshop, guests encounter a grand, circular staircase wrapped around a two-story custom chandelier, but only the adventurous will discover all that Beauty & Essex has to offer. The Library is a terrific place to eat and drink, especially before shows at the Public Theater. The wait staff is first rate and there is a lot of good teamwork in play here.

I absolutely love this restaurant. They have the very best tandoori chicken in all of New York City. They give you 4 generous pieces with lots of onions and pepper, enough for 1 more dinner. I also ordered rice, tikka masala sauce for the rice (a fabulous! curry sauce), and garlic nan. Everything outstanding!! Your service is very attentive and sweet. I have been coming here for years and they never disappoint. I highly recommend this restaurant.
