Established in 1959, owners Jenny Youll and Mike Sabina expanded the once small coffeehouse of St. Michaels Alley into this intimate dining establishment in 2009. The restaurant provides three comfortable spaces for a dinner out with friends, date night, or a complete private event. The main dining room is wood paneled and intimate. The front room / bar area is more casual and social, yet still offers tables with linens and the full menu. The solid wood bar is a favorite dining spot for many of the regulars and locals. This was our first time eating here, and we loved it! The staff were extremely engaging, warm, and helpful to us. The atmosphere was lovely, we’ve enjoyed sitting at a booth, which was very comfortable, and the food was utterly delicious, and we can’t wait to return

We come regularly to enjoy our 5* experiences. This time I would say six stars ... as I studied the menu before. My favorite choices (yours maybe a different choice) were beyond expectation, outstanding. Did I say we'll come back? Okay you want to know something not so positive: Teleferic Los Gatos should consider the lightning one space is dark compared to the other. By the way the service is great: thank you Sheila S.

As always, the location had plenty of parking and wasn't too crowded. We made Priority reservations, in advance, through OpenTable. We were seated within 2-3 minutes upon arrival for dinner. Our meal consisted of the stuffed mushrooms appetizer, 1lb snow crab, salmon dinner, and I had the Lobster Punch for my cocktail. Everything came out hot and appealing to eat. Our server was a little more attentive with others than to my Mother and I, but other staff stepped in when necessary.
