The Punchbowl is a 17th century gastro pub, located in the heart of rural Essex and the Crouch Valley and the South Essex Salt marshes. We offer nose-to-tail style menu, with unpretentious dishes that focus on flavour. Everything is made in house - from bread to mayonnaise, and we use local, seasonal and organic ingredients. Seen straight to our table - lovely server - ordering was easy and quick. Didn’t have to wait long for our food which was amazing. Been before and will be back - had good service and good food every visit.

Lovely friendly service. Sat outside on the decked area on a lovely sunny day. Food was excellent - all 4 of us had a lovely meal. Would recommend.
