The Assembly House is a gorgeous Georgian gem perfectly located in the heart of Norwich. We set out to create the kind of establishment we'd love to find in one of the UK's most beautiful cities, one where old-fashioned hospitality is valued, food is delicious and where beautiful surroundings can be found hidden around every corner.From breakfast where we serve our unique Beforenoon Tea - the breakfast edition of afternoon tea - to lunch which includes Assembly House classics and grazing boards, we're open seven days a week. We're most famous for our themed afternoon teas which change regularly and are served from noon until last service at 3.30pm daily. As the Home of Afternoon Tea, we also serve some spectacular savoury versions of tea, including Beforenoon Tea, seafood option Afternoon Sea and our cheese-based option Afternoon Cheese. Please let us know your dietary adaptations for vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free or vegetarian teas at least 24 hours in advance.

Pho Norwich is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant with loads of vegan and gluten free options. We specialise in pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles and healthy salads, too. We also have loads of starters that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular diets. We are accredited by Coeliac UK. Aside from our lovely food we offer a brilliant range of healthy juices, as well as delicious wine and beer, and a fantastic cocktail menu too. The Belgian Monk opened in December 2000. The main objective was to create something different yet to fit in with the way drinking and dining is changing. It has become a successful and established bar and restaurant, offering customers a choice of a regular selection of some 45 beers together with a selection of special beers. The menu is based on serving only the best products available freshly prepared daily, at realistic prices, in an informal relaxed "friends and family" atmosphere. It provides more than just the meal or drink but a whole Belgian experience. Lovely ambience, warm welcome and a lovely breakfast. Cheese soufflé with smoked haddock and a ‘mock tail’ of orange, bitter lemon and rosemary, served with a smile. The fantastic Gingerbread display made it feel very festive, incorporating a tribute to the sad recent loss of Chef Director, Richard Hughes.

My friend and I had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. We started with perfectly mixed cocktails, which set the tone for the night. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. I opted for the special, while my friend enjoyed the chicken schnitzel, both were excellent. We treated ourselves to a bottle of wine and finished with their homemade tiramisu, which was divine! The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the pricing was very reasonable, making it great value for such a fantastic experience. We will definitely be back!

A place of great character, with an astonishing selection of beers. The food is very good. Some dishes are done a little better than others, but overall a very good menu of perfectly edible dishes. Service is very efficient, friendly and helpful.
