Izakaya Den is Denver’s popular Japanese gastropub, modeled after the lively after hours establishments found throughout Japan. The restaurant is located on South Pearl Street and is the second restaurant of the Kizaki brothers, founders and owners of Sushi Den. The menu is arranged in a tapas style, serving traditional Japanese small plates along with dishes infused with international flavors and textures. The more traditional Japanese offerings include sashimi and nigiri, sourced from daily fish shipments from around the globe, along with dumplings and noodle dishes. The global cuisine experiments with a bevy of different flavors including unique items such as Grilled Panzanella Salad (jumbo lump crab, toasted focaccia, local goat cheese, pistachios, plum wine vinaigrette), Kobe Beef Sliders (seared foie gras, pomme frittes). I always love True Food, but our latest experience was exceptional. Our waiter, Jesse, was not only pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable - he also made sure to take excellent care of me and my many food sensitivities. Not for a second did I feel I was being a pain. He listened carefully, came back and asked questions, and even caught a mistake the kitchen had made!

Amazing experience! Started with the prosciutto, a pinot grigio, and had the tagliatelle, followed by the torta. It was all so wonderful! HIGHLY recommend the tagliatelle!! I sat at the bar, where Caesar waited on me, and he was exceptional. Highly attentive but not over-bearing; he was personable and friendly. I loved the ambiance as well. It should also be said, Caesar went above and beyond, and is an expert in his craft! Make a reservation, and you will not be disappointed.

We had the best experience! This restaurant is so much fun and a great atmosphere, delicious drinks, and unique tasty food. We had a large group for a birthday party and they were so accommodating. We got our drinks and apps quickly and all the food was amazing. The ambience has a tropical club vibe without it being loud tacky. Great place for a group to have a good time! Be aware, parking is VERY difficult to find!
