South Block is a North-Carolina inspired BBQ hall and brewery on the edge of Mission, in Calgary. Upstairs you’ll find a large dining room, 20-seat bar, and a year-round indoor/outdoor beer garden. This is the most decadent, satisfying happy hour menu I have ever encountered, anywhere, ever. The meat was all melt in your mouth, the pickles exquisite. Top shelf, all of it. The only reason I did not give 5 stars for service is that while my server, a lovely human who made my 89 year old Dad feel at home, others have prompted to write the facility privately. Still highly recommend.
