Welcome to The Greyhound, a 17th century coaching inn, in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town.Owned and managed by husband and wife team, Daniel Crump and Margriet Vandezande-Crump, the pub and restaurant was named as the ‘One to Watch in the UK’s prestigious Top 50 Gastropubs Awards, named a TripAdvisor 2021 Travellers’ Choice Award Winner, and voted the best restaurant in Bucks & Oxon by guests in the annual Muddy Stilettos awards. Welcome to Riwaz Beaconsfield.It’s long been twice-Michelin starred chef Atul Kochhar's dream to champion the cuisines of India, especially the sub-cultures of Bohri, Ismaili, Moplah, Chettiars, amongst others. Tom was our server and he was outstanding. Friendly, patient, helpful, informative, engaging but not over powering. We took up the recommendation of the special of chicken in white wine sauce with apple and chestnuts and shared a portion of country vegetables and chips. It was absolutely delicious and arrived very quickly. The portion sizes were ideal and everything arrived hot and well cooked. We were seated upstairs as it was a more relaxed and cosy area with deep green walls and lots of interesting pictures. We decided to have dessert and I can highly recommend the cheesecake. Tom even delivered a complimentary scoop of ice cream as we were celebrating, so very thoughtful. I highly recommend the restaurant.
