North American influenced food, with quality locally sourced ingredients! Note that last bookings for breakfast are 11am and first bookings for all day menu are 12pm. This gives a chance to reset and get ready for our all day menu.There are now parking restrictions within the marina, we will validate your parking for you in order for you to get your parking for free. Please give us your registration plate when you arrive.Please note that we are currently cashless, card payment only.Please note that we do not have toilets on site but there are public toilets a 2min walk across the marina.Our outside area is covered and heated in the colder months.  There is the chance of some side wind/rain though if it's blowing a hoolie! We are family friendly, when booking that a buggy/pram counts as a cover - let us know. :)Full terms: https://www.downthehatchcafe

Brothers Mikey & James Sim focus on a social dining experience with seasonal plates, quality wines, beer and cocktails. With an ever changing 3 month menu we champion fresh and quality ingredients. The restaurant has two distinct areas, our seafront - a relaxed spaced with a stunning view and the old boathouse - a beautiful traditional space.     We had a truly wonderful Valentine's evening at this restaurant! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, and everything was spotlessly clean. The food was simply exceptional—top-notch in every way! That’s why I had to share a photo of our empty plates—everything was too delicious to leave behind! A special thank you to our waitress, Alison, who made our dining experience even more memorable with her warm smile and outstanding service. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. We’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to celebrate a special moment while enjoying amazing food!

    Always an amazing experience at down the hatch. Food second to none. Great portion sizes. Used a deal which made it even better. Staff great.
